Mariah’s deadly secret is a top storyline on The Young and the Restless. She’s trying to keep it hidden to protect her loved ones. However, Mariah’s attempts will be futile when her secret is finally revealed.
Help or Hurt Mariah?
For months, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been wracked with guilt over her killer secret. As seen through a series of flashbacks, Mariah smothered a man (Michael Swan) during a night of drinking. Since then, Mariah’s been on a downward spiral and it’s caused issues in her marriage.
Although she’s trying to keep her crime a secret, it won’t be for much longer. Someone is bound to discover Mariah’s wrongdoing, and the question is who will it be?
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is the number one pick. Mariah’s secret has torn her and Tessa’s marriage apart. Tessa’s tried to no avail to get Mariah to open up. Mariah doesn’t want Tessa to know, but Tessa could stumble upon the secret when she overhears Mariah talking about it.
Mariah’s behavior has gone unnoticed by her mother Sharon (Sharon Case). She knows her daughter is unwell and wants to help, but it’s up to Mariah to make the first move. Mariah’s guilt will continue to eat at her until she finally breaks down and confesses all to Sharon.
While Tessa and Sharon will do all they can to help, someone might use Mariah’s secret for their personal gain.
Cane (Billy Flynn) is having Holden (Nathan Owens) investigate Mariah as part of his takeover plans. Holden could uncover Mariah’s crime and Cane uses this as an advantage. He agrees to help Mariah cover it up in exchange for her assisting in his business plot.
Ian (Ray Wise) is also someone to keep an eye out for. Although Ian is dead, he could return from the grave. Ian is a master at hiding and might have spied on Mariah’s deadly deed. Since Ian likes to control Mariah, he’ll use her secret as a way to worm his way back into her life.
Could one of these people discover Mariah’s secret? Or will someone else be the one to expose her crimes?
