Tragic Deathđ ! Josslyn took down Cyrus Renault! General Hospital Jeff Kober died, Big Sad Update!

Spoilers ahead! Cyrus Renault â the mobster brother of Laura and Martin, who in recent months has been on a killing (and attempted killing) streak, claiming Sam McCall and Dex Heller as victims â was killed off on the Thursday, February 20 episode of General Hospital. Hereâs how it all went down.
At Lizâs house, the nurse watched in horror as Cyrus and Lucky tussled and Cyrus injected a syringe filled with digitalis into Luckyâs leg. She frantically summoned the cops â and am ambulance. While she was still on the phone with 911, Cyrus fled through the open door to her home. Liz rushed to Luckyâs side and pleaded with him to stay with her. He lost consciousness, and she performed chest compressions on him, assuring him, âHelp is on the way!â
Meanwhile, at Samâs grave, a heavyhearted Jason spoke aloud to his late love as he pondered whether to kill her killer. âI need to make a choice tonight,â he said, âbetween what I want and what I think youâd want.â He explained that he knew that Cyrus killed her, and knew he could get away with offing him, but knew that he would want her âto put our son before my need for vengeance.â Gazing heavenward, he promised Sam that he would always put Danny first.

Opposite this, Josslyn, who was on a quest to avenge Dexâs death, sneaked into Cyrusâs place and began rifling through his things. Hidden beneath a desk drawer, she discovered an envelope, and when she emptied its contents, hospital bracelets tumbled out.
Cops were on the scene at Lizâs, and Anna showed up to be briefed. She was horrified to learn that Lucky (who was en route to the hospital) had been injected by Cyrus, and that Cyrus was on the loose. At G.H., doctors worked to save Lucky, and the color drained from Isaiahâs face when Liz told him that Lucky had digitalis in his system. Laura arrived with Jordan by her side, and Liz was forced to admit that she didnât know if Lucky would pull through.
Josslyn held the  hospital bracelets belonging to Dex and Sam in her hands. âDex,â she said, âyou didnât deserve this.â She put the incriminating bracelets back down, alongside the others, and took out her phone to document her findings. The door flew open. It was Cyrus!

Laura and Liz sat on a bench, and Liz brought Luckyâs mom up to speed on what had happened. Laura was baffled when Liz revealed that Luckyâs attacker was Cyrus, her brother. âWhy would he want to hurt Lucky?â she wondered. Liz explained that Cyrus knew that she and Lucky suspected Cyrus of being responsible for the deaths of patients at G.H. Laura reeled as it dawned on her that Cyrusâs motive for killing Sam was Lulu. Liz added that Cyrus was behind Luluâs liver failure, as well. âOh, my God,â gasped Laura. Soon, Anna, Aiden, Dante and Lulu showed up.
Back at Cyrusâs, the villain calmly picked up an ax. Brandishing the weapon at her, he said in a warning tone, âYou shouldnât have come here.â Â âYouâre a monster,â she shot back. âYou killed Sam. You killed Dex.â She told him he was not going to get away with it. Unruffled, Cyrus told Josslyn that Dex and Sam had gotten in the way of his mission â and now, so was she. âAnd I canât allow that,â he declared.
Josslyn pulled out Dexâs gun, the one she had pocketed from her late loverâs apartment when she was packing up his posessions, and as he advanced toward her with the ax, she fired the weapon! Cyrus took two bullets to the chest and fell to the floor!

Cyrus coughed up blood and gasped for air as a shell-shocked Josslyn approached him. âNow youâre the murderer,â he said. Tears sprang from Jossâe eyes as Cyrus drew his last breath and died. She kicked his foot, confirming that he wasnât breathing, moved the ax from the ground to the coffee table, and placed the gun on the sofa. She then checked for his pulse. There was none.
Joss picked the gun back up and crossed the room, putting the weapon down on Cyrusâs desk. She took out her phone and scrolled through her contacts. On her phone screen were several familiar names: Isaiahâs, Jack Brennanâs, and Jasonâs. She dialed someone, telling them, âI need your help.â
