Bold and the Beautiful

Today’s Big Sad😭 News! Bold and the Beautiful Pierson Fodédied! It Will Shock You.

Pearson Fodé’s New Romantic Comedy “The Wrong Paris” Brings Love and Laughs to Netflix

Bold and the Beautiful fans remember Pearson Fodé fondly as the charismatic Thomas Forrester, a role he played from 2015 to 2018 before Matthew Atkinson stepped in. Since his departure, Fodé has been steadily expanding his acting career, appearing in primetime hits like Dynasty, Supergirl, Reboot Camp, and Animal Kingdom.

Now, Fodé is stepping into the world of romantic comedy — and teaming up with Netflix for his next big project.

From Forrester to the “City” of Love

As first reported in July 2024, Pearson Fodé stars opposite Miranda Cosgrove — best known for her breakout role as Carly Shay on Nickelodeon’s iCarly — in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy “The Wrong Paris.” The film also carries a special connection to the soap world, as The Young and the Restless star Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti) served as a producer.

Damian recently shared the first promotional image for the film along with its official release date, writing on social media:

“Ready to get this party started — September 12th.”

That post officially kicked off the countdown to the movie’s premiere.

A Romance with a Twist

The plot follows Dawn (Miranda Cosgrove), an aspiring artist with dreams of traveling to Paris, France for a once-in-a-lifetime art opportunity. Unfortunately, her finances can’t keep up with her ambitions. Determined to make her dream a reality, Dawn takes a surprising route — auditioning for a reality dating show supposedly set in Paris.

But there’s a twist: instead of the glittering Eiffel Tower skyline, Dawn lands in Paris, Texas. The “City of Love” she envisioned is replaced by cowboy hats, barbecue, and small-town charm.

Love Where You Least Expect It

Intent on returning to her original plan, Dawn tries to get herself eliminated from the show as quickly as possible. Her mission takes a detour when she meets Trey (Pearson Fodé), the show’s eligible bachelor.

What starts as a comedic culture clash turns into something deeper as Dawn and Trey form a connection. Suddenly, Dawn is faced with a dilemma:

  • Follow her dream of living and creating art in Paris, France, or

  • Take a leap of faith on a relationship that might be her true happily-ever-after.

The film’s trailer captures plenty of charming romcom moments — from laugh-out-loud mishaps to heartfelt exchanges. One standout line comes when Trey asks Dawn:

“What’s that dream now?”

It’s a question that perfectly captures the film’s heart — whether love can change your life’s biggest plans.

Release Date & Audience Appeal

The Wrong Paris premieres on Netflix, September 12th, 2024, offering humor, romance, and a dose of unexpected adventure.

With its lighthearted premise, witty script, and a cast that blends soap opera star power with nostalgic TV favorites, the movie is tailor-made for:

  • Romantic comedy fans

  • Bold and the Beautiful viewers who’ve missed Fodé as Thomas

  • iCarly fans eager to see Cosgrove in a new role

From mistaken destinations to matters of the heart, The Wrong Paris proves that sometimes the wrong turn can lead to the right love story.
