The General Hospital Cast Gets Joyous As They Walk Through the Jennifer Hudson Show’s Spirit Tunnel

For the last week, we’ve been discussing one of the best aspects of The Jennifer Hudson Show: the Spirit Tunnel! JHS staff routinely encourage, celebrate, and serenade their guests as they walk to the stage to sit down with the show’s host. Six General Hospital cast members have now experienced it.

Dance of Joy

Finola Hughes (Anna), Tanisha Harper (Jordan), Laura Wright (Carly), Maurice Benard (Sonny), Donnell Turner (Curtis), and Cameron Mathison (Drew) appeared as guests on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Wednesday.

They answered questions about the show, their real lives, about being soap actors, and about the characters they play,

But before they sat down with EGOT winner J-Hud, the actors had to go through a rite of passage on the show known as The Spirit Tunnel.

We’ve been hyping it up for you. Luckily, the entire cast was all game as Benard led the group, and the talk show staff members serenaded them as they made their way to the set.

It looked like an uplifting and upbeat experience for the cast. GH’s Tabyana Ali (Trina) responded to the post, saying, “Ms. Finola was really getting down!

Omg” Ali and Cassandra James (Terry) were on the same page as far as Ms. Hughes’ dance moves. “My baaaaaabes! Love everything about this. Especially @finolafilona breaking it DOWN! ,” James commented.

A ‘Great Time’

The six GH cast members seemed to have a great time. Wright shared a few beautiful photos of their time on the show. She sounded grateful for the experience.

“A Big Thank You to the @jenniferhudsonshow for having us – what a fun day!! It was a party from the time we danced on to the stage til we danced off !!! Now it’s time to have Jennifer join us in Port Charles 

Meanwhile, Turner shared some of his favorite moments from the set and said, “Great fun hanging out with @iamjhud and my wonderful #gh cast mates on the @jenniferhudsonshow.

So down to earth, Ms. Hudson made me feel like I’d known her since forever. Love, Respect, and Blessings. Thank you”

Benard and Mathison also shared a video from their visit. Benard captured all of his co-stars from the JHS stage and talked about his experience. “All of us went on the @jenniferhudsonshow. She was extremely sweet, and everyone there treated us with respect.
