Or was there a dirty feud that caused them to keep their distance from one another even when they were working? That’s what fans want to know.
Well, apparently there’s a reason why Kelly and Steve barely spoke to one another if they didn’t have to. And that all had to do with Steve’s ex-wife, Sheree Gustin.
She was supposedly so jealous of Kelly that she wanted her husband at the time to keep his distance from her.
However, there was another rumor suggesting that things went even deeper than that. Kelly once did a reality show called Dirty Soap. She mentioned that both Steve and Sheree hosted an intervention about her health and supposed eating disorder at the time.
Kelly was so upset over the entire matter that she decided to pull the plug on their friendship, even though they were still co-stars at the time. She didn’t appreciate Steve and his wife meddling in her personal business, especially since it clearly wasn’t their business.
General Hospital Feuds: Whatever Happened To Kelly And Steve?
As many of our readers know, Steve ended up divorcing Sheree after she ended up getting pregnant with another man’s baby. But the damage between Steve and Sam was already done. They barely spoke to each other both on and off camera for many long years.
So far both Kelly Monaco and Steve Burton have not made any additional comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
After all, Steve is on the show and Kelly is trying to rebuild her life after she was fired from the soap. No one has heard from Kelly since she left the soap in late 2024.
