SO SAD! After Months of Silence, GH Star Kristina Wagner Opens Up About Her Son’s Death – Her Words Will Break Your Heart

Kristina joined the cast of General Hospital in 1984 as Felicia Cummings, appearing off and on as the character throughout the years. Fans would see her become half of the super couple with Frisco Jones, played by actor Jack Wagner.
In real life, Kristina and Jack were married from 1993 to 2006. The couple would have two sons born in 1990 and 1994, Peter and Harrison, respectively. Tragically, Harrison passed away on June 6, 2022. Since his passing, the couple has started the Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fun in his honor.
On the anniversary of his passing, Kristina opened up in a recent share on Instagram. The actress included a photo of her son with a lengthy caption.The actress opened up writing, “June 6th is Harrison Wagner Day. If love alone could save him, he’d still be here.”
Kristina then talked about the ways she’s processed her grief. She noted, “I’ve had three years of grief counseling and three years of grief support groups. I’ve hiked thousands of miles.” She continued, “I’ve read grief books, I’ve honored his missed birthdays, I’ve lit candles for him. Kristina then shared memories of her son. She noted, “I remind myself how amusing and charming he was. His laughter was loud and contagious and came from a big man who wore a size 14 shoe. I bite into a chocolate chip cookie and think how Harrison loved going to Whole Foods for fresh baked cookies.”
“He loved dogs and puppies and his voice would rise two octaves when talking to them. His ability to hear every sound produced in a song gave me chills. His hopes for becoming a world famous D.J. and music producer were real.”“He shared his hard-earned wisdom with me; he told me so many things, beautiful, glorious, and pride-filled, but also frightening things he was ashamed of.
Kirstina then talked about feeling unable to protect her son during hard times. She explained, “He was so full of love and wonder and compassion for others, but he was troubled. He could pull himself out of despair only to fall back into it. I was powerless. I couldn’t protect the unprotectable.”
“There is real gratitude in recollection, even when it hurts. I miss him. I miss every single detail about that guy and who I was because he existed. Harrison, this is about us for you now live through me as our lives are one. Because of you I am calmer and stronger.”
As she concluded her post, Kristina touched on something that gave her comfort in the years since her son’s passing. She revealed, “I recently learned that a mother’s body can retain fetal cells for her entire lifespan. I like that – it means that he lives in memory, in spirit, and in body.”
In the comments, various soap alumni shared their condolences. Writer Michele Val Jean shared, “Beautiful tribute to a beautiful guy. You carry him always. Love you.” Actress Kimberly McCullough also shared, “Love you. I feel connected to him through your words. What a beautiful human.”
