Poppy seems extremely nervous when Luna questions her about the DNA test results, which has caused Luna to start doubting everything. This means Poppy will need to explain to both Luna and Bill about her relationship with Tom and why she has his backpack. If Poppy is not the killer, then she definitely knows who is, as there is no other explanation for why she would have that backpack in her possession.

Adding to the intrigue, Jack’s sudden appearance in town raises suspicions. Is it possible that Jack and Poppy have a secret relationship and that he is actually Luna’s father? Jack’s presence in town seems too coincidental, and he might be trying to keep something hidden. However, there might be someone else involved. Given Poppy’s numerous relationships and the many secrets she harbors, could it be her ex-husband, a potentially dangerous criminal, who came to town at Poppy’s behest to kill Tom and Hollis?
