Is Dante Leaving General Hospital ?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest the land of Port Charles can be a revolving door. People come, people go, and then come back again!
While Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is a leading man on the show and connected to many storylines, considering the cop’s history of leaving town, could he be on the cusp of exiting the soap again?
General Hospital Spoilers – Dante Falconeri’s History With General Hospital
Dante entered storylines in June 2009 when he went undercover to bring Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his organization down.
Of course, at the time he didn’t realize he was the mob boss’s biological son and got shot by Sonny, but in the process of it all, the truth about Dante being his child came out.
In June 2018, Dante left the canvas, only to return for one show in November that year. Dante would also make a quick comeback in March of 2019, only to return, full-time, in 2020. Zamprogna has been with GH since.
GH Spoilers – Is Lulu’s Return Really Just An Exit Storyline For Dante Falconerie?
News broke recently about GH conducting a casting call for a character called “Lauren” who fit the description of Lulu Spencer, Dante’s ex, and the “love of his life” who is currently in a coma.
Actress Emme Rylan recently confirmed on social media that the soap was trying to recast Lulu, and she wasn’t asked to reprise the role.
Lulu is headed back to town at some point, so it seems unlikely that Dante could exit the show again; however, what if Lulu’s return is a short run to usher in a storyline about the couple leaving town?
Why else would the soap opera opt for a new Lulu, versus bringing Rylan back to reprise the role? After all, Rylan and Zamprogna had established chemistry!
Lulu could wake up and Dante may realize that he still loves her. As he’s entered a relationship with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), the super couple could decide to leave town in light of their reunion and a “fresh” start.
