The 38-year-old actress — who has played Steffy Forrester on the CBS soap since 2008 — announced in March that she was expecting again, sharing in her weekly newsletter that she was “almost seven months pregnant” at the time. That would likely put her due date sometime around June.
In recent months, fans have been anticipating Wood’s exit from The Bold and the Beautiful for maternity leave. However, as of the week of July 7, her character is still appearing on new episodes and concealing her real-life baby bump.
As a result, social media users have been flooding Wood’s Instagram comments with questions about her growing family.
“Why are you not announcing the birth of your child to the world? We are waiting every day. I know the kid has to be 2 months old by now,” one person wrote earlier this week, while another asked, “When are we going to hear about your new sweet baby?”
Others want to know whether Wood welcomed a daughter since she is already the mother of four sons.
“Is it a girl?” one person asked via Instagram, while another inquired, “Did she have [her] fifth baby yet? Is it [a] boy or girl?”
Meanwhile, some fans assumed Wood had a girl despite her never publicly revealing the sex of her fifth baby. “Did you [have] your baby girl yet?” a fan questioned. “I’ve been waiting.”
Wood’s most recent Instagram post was in April, when she shared a photo of her baby bump.

Wood has been married to Elan Ruspoli since July 2018. The couple previously welcomed sons Rise in March 2019, Lenix in February 2021, Brando in May 2022 and Valor in August 2023.
