Her living arrangement isn’t glamorous either, with Britt referring to her small space above Bobbie’s as “the hovel.” On top of that, her reunion with her mother, Liesl Obrecht, was far from warm.

Thiebaud admitted she didn’t expect the General Hospital writers to revisit Britt’s infamous past. “We hadn’t mentioned that storyline in years,” she told Soap Opera Digest. “It was kind of all forgiven and forgotten, and Britt had moved on from that.”

The storyline in question was one of Britt’s most notorious — stealing Lulu and Dante’s embryo, carrying Rocco, and raising him for much of his first year before the truth exploded at her engagement party to Nikolas Cassadine. For Thiebaud, revisiting that arc felt both unexpected and rewarding.

The baby plot cemented Britt as one of General Hospital’s most memorable schemers, but soap justice always comes due. When Britt’s lies were exposed, she lost Rocco, her fiancé Nikolas, and her reputation. Thiebaud still remembers filming that explosive engagement party reveal with the late Tyler Christopher, calling it “a complete home run in the soap world.”
