General Hospital Spoilers: Discover How Lydia Look Truly Feels About Returning As Selina Wu

It’s been some time since anyone other than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)  has represented Port Charles’ mob world but with Lydia Look returning, could we be in for more mob confrontations?

Since 2015, Look has portrayed the formidable mobster Selina, making sporadic appearances in Port Charles, often at the most inconvenient times for her rival, Sonny.

After a hiatus from the screen since March 2024, Look is back just as Sonny faces heart troubles and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) grapples with gambling debts.

When asked about slipping back into her character after nearly a year away, Look remarked, “Selina is always just around the corner for me.” Selina and Sonny are the only representatives left of the formerly formidable Five Families, and for a time they joined forces.

Look made her comeback on January 16, reuniting with Cody, who had wagered his entire $50,000 hush money from Drew (Cameron Mathison) on the PCU game. The game  unfortunately ended in a defeat for the local team.

While her scenes with Kelly’s Cody are always a delight, she was also asked about another co-star. “We have a special bond,” the actress shared regarding her on-screen nephew Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), who also made his return to GH last year;  “It feels familiar, like family.

There’s a wealth of material to draw from, and it’s all fantastic—every single jab and witty remark carries a deeper meaning,” she expressed to SOD.

Selina hasn’t shared much about her future in Port Charles, but it seems likely she’s back in town for a while. Sonny’s heart issues might lead him to retire from the mob and pass the reins to someone else-if a new mob boss takes over, Selina will probably have a lot to discuss.

Meanwhile, Cody has returned to gambling, but he might be done for good after losing all his money in the PCU game.

Lastly, Brad has been working hard to stay on the right path since returning to his hospital job. Although he has already blackmailed Portia Robinson and confronted Cyrus Renault, he hasn’t faced any major trouble that would require his aunt’s help… yet.
