General Hospital fans were taken by surprise last month when it was announced that Ryan Paevey was returning to General Hospital. He joined the show in 2013 as Nathan West. Nathan was eventually paired with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) before the character was shot and killed in 2018.

The actor recently spoke with TV Guide about his return and his mother’s cancer battle. “Mom’s better to a degree,” he said about her health. He said that the struggles that led him to take a step back from acting have “calmed down.”
Ryan Paevey is excited to rejoin General Hospital. He can’t say much about his return, but did tease fans that it will be good. “We’ve got some fun stuff planned,” he said.
He added, “I wouldn’t come back for something vanilla. It’s going to be a blast.”
