General Hospital: Johnny Wactor’s Co-Worker Anita Joy Opens Up About His Tragic End

General Hospital: Anita Joy Recounts Johnny’s Final Moments

In an Instagram post, Anita revealed that she and the General Hospital actor had just finished their bartending shift. The duo was stepping out from the Level 8 bar in downtown Los Angeles when they encountered thieves trying to steal his truck’s catalytic converter. Additionally, Anita said, “I was with Johnny in his last moments, and I’m here to be his voice after such unimaginable events.” Joy expressed her need to speak about the incident.

“I need to share his story, the support for his family and the incredible loss that a lot of us are feeling.” Anita believes she has a responsibility to honor Wactor’s memory. She wrote, “I am his voice now because otherwise he would have possibly been alone, and he wasn’t.” Furthermore, she was enraged how the culprits cowardly killed the General Hospital star in the blink of an eye. “I’m angry, I’m sad, and I’m all of the feelings at once…but above all, I am here for Johnny’s justice.”

Anita described how she and Wactor went from sharing laughs and leaving work together to experiencing a nightmare on the streets. She explained how the duo first thought the thieves were towing Wactor’s car but soon realised they were wrong. “Johnny was between me and the man who shot him – as I heard the shot ring into the night.” Anita shouted, “Hunny you ok?!” And Johnny only responded, “Nope! Shot!”

Then, one of their security guards turned up with 911 on the phone. “We tied my denim jacket around him to stop the bleeding and Bryan proceeded to try CPR on him,” Joy recounted. Nevertheless, Joy is at peace with the fact that she was with the General Hospital fame when it all went down. “My only other peace will be seeing these awful men brought to justice.” In her emotional post, Joy highlighted Wactor’s remarkable qualities and the impact he had on those around him.

She described General Hospital actor as a genuine and compassionate person who had a gift for making everybody feel special. “Just one look into his big blue eyes, followed by a big goofy grin, Johnny made you love him instantly.” She expressed gratitude to have been a part of his world. Joy also called attention to the need for improved safety measures for late-night workers. She urged the bar to support Wactor’s family during this difficult time.
