At the warehouse, Sonny stops by to see Jason. He asks if he’s free as he’d like to clear the air. Sonny says he told Dex he was done with him, and he is free to become a cop or do whatever he wants. Sonny says he’s offering Jason the same deal, he can go work for the FBI, but he wants nothing more to do with him. Jason says he is not selling his half of the company. Sonny tells him he’ll take this way out if he’s smart. Jason says he’s not staying for himself but for Sonny.
Jason says this is the only legal business Sonny has, and it is the front that protects him from RICO charges. He says Sonny ignored this place for months, and he’s trying to build it back up. Sonny says he’s not protecting him, he’s spying on him, and he wants him out of his life. Jason tells Sonny he’s his friend, but right now, Sonny is in real trouble. Jason points out that he attacked a police cadet at the wedding, which Kristina saw. He says he’s making sloppy decisions and to let him help him. Sonny says since he’s turning him down if he doesn’t get out of his way, he’s done… he’s gone.

At the Metro Court, Molly stops Carly to talk about what happened at the wedding reception with Kristina. Carly says she wasn’t there. Molly says she isn’t here as the ADA, but as family. She needs her help. Molly knows Kristina witnessed an altercation and had a physical response, and she has a right to know if this is impacting her baby. Carly tells her what she is about to say stays between them. Carly explains what she knows, including Sonny trying to explain what happened to Kristina, but she was hysterical and afraid of him. She says Kristina grew up hearing whispers that her dad was a mobster, and she probably told herself he had some shady business practices and that was it. Seeing the attack had to be devastating for her.
Carly says Kristina was such a daddy’s girl growing up, and she loves Sonny so much, but realistically, she was going to have to see the real Sonny at some point. Molly has been trying to figure out how to deal with this. She’s just going to sit on this and pray that Kristina will be all right and do the right thing for herself and the baby. She says everything else is out of her control. Carly tells her she already sounds like a mom. She says she’ll always be worried and always pray her kids are happy and healthy and that it will often be out of her control. Carly believes Kristina and the baby will be just fine. Molly thanks Carly for being honest with her.
Sonny arrives later, and Carly asks what he’s doing here. He says he has business. She asks if he’s talked to Kristina. He hasn’t and says he’s dealing with Jason today. He informs her that he offered to buy Jason out, but he refused, so what happens next is on Jason.
Back at the warehouse, an armed man hides behind some coffee bags, and Jason senses something is up. The man shoots at Jason, and Jason takes cover and fires back. More shots are exchanged, and a second gunman shoots at Jason as well.

At General Hospital, Chase checks in with Elizabeth. She says she’s sorry about his dad and that he missed his honeymoon. She says she didn’t know him long, but Gregory was special to her and her boys. She says if there is anything she can do, let her know. Chase needs a copy of his dad’s death certificate. She says the funeral home will have that, but she realizes they may have a copy. She calls the records department and confirms it, and it will be ready shortly.
Chase thanks Liz for helping him, and it feels like he’s moving slower these days. She tells him that he needs to accept that what he’s dealing with is a lot. They sit down to talk about Finn and his drinking. Chase feels he handled the situation wrong by calling her instead of going there straight from the airport. Liz says Finn was already drinking when she arrived. Chase says Finn knows he was out of line, and he’s doing all the right things now. Chase says Finn will be okay and won’t keep turning to alcohol. Chase notes it was Finn who found their father dead, who had to call 911, and had to watch his body being taken away. He believes Finn wouldn’t have gone and sought out alcohol if there weren’t some already in his apartment. Liz says he doesn’t have to defend his brother, but what she didn’t understand was his reaction to her. He was argumentative and refused to go to a meeting. Chase says Finn made bad choices, and he knows it, he screwed up, but given the situation, it merits a little understanding. Liz says she knows Finn feels bad about his behavior, and she’s sorry for what his family is going through. Chase hopes after the memorial that things will get easier, and they’ll find closure. He invites her to the memorial, and she says Finn already did, and she’ll be there. She then leaves to get him his records.
Liz returns with an envelope for Chase, who notes this is all that’s left of his dad. She tells him that he’s wrong, that he, Finn and Violet are what’s left of Gregory, and he lives on in them.

Curtis shows Portia the article in The Invader on Laura trying to have Heather let out of prison, and Portia can’t believe this is happening. Curtis believes there is more to the story as this isn’t the Laura he knows. Portia fears this is another step to Heather’s release, and realistically, they have no way to fight this. A nurse interrupts to have Portia sign some forms. Curtis says he has to go, and they’ll talk tonight. Portia then asks the nurse who ordered this release form as it isn’t right.
Cates enters Brennan’s room and tells him it’s time for him to go back to Pentonville, as he’s a dangerous man and a flight risk. Portia walks in, and Cates tells her to say goodbye to her patient. She informs him this patient isn’t going anywhere. She says his surgeon hasn’t cleared him to be released, and she’s not sending him back to prison where his wound could open up and get infected. Cates says she has no idea how dangerous this man is, and she’s playing into his hands. Portia says her decision stands, and this patient stays right here.
Portia walks out, and Brennan says, “You were saying, Agent Cates?” Brennan tells him to clear out as he needs rest. Cates says he’ll have to question him here, but Brennan won’t speak without his lawyers. Cates wants to know why he hasn’t been tried yet and why his lawyers have been stalling with postponements. Cates suspects he’s waiting for something to happen, which is why he doesn’t want to go back to Penntonville just yet. Brennan says he’ll tell him this much, even Carly Spencer doesn’t think he was out to kill her when he was arrested, and he had no weapon on him. He neglected to tell her who he worked for, and Carly thought she had to protect herself. Cates wonders what the odds are that when he was busted, it was his old WSB friend Anna who took him down. Cates surmises he and Anna planned this bust, and he wonders what his role in Pikeman really is. Brennan states he doesn’t run Pikeman and suggests he asks Anna about his theories. Cates plans to and storms out.
Molly heads to the hospital as she and TJ took each other’s phones that morning as they have the same case. They talk briefly about Kristina, and neither has heard from her lately. TJ thinks they should go to Kristina’s next appointment, but Molly reminds him Kristina doesn’t like it when they disrespect her boundaries. Portia interrupts to talk to Molly, and TJ returns to his rounds.

Portia asks how the DA’s office plans to fight Laura Collins’ plan to get Heather Webber freed. Molly looks into the system and says no motions have been filed related to this. She also says if one is, Heather’s lawyers will argue because of the cobalt poisoning, she was not in control of her actions, and there is no mens rea. Portia yells that it’s her job to see Heather remains behind bars and that Molly owes that much to Heather’s victims. Molly again says there have been no signs this is moving forward. Portia swears she will fight this with everything she has.
In Laura’s office, she fumes that an article hit the press claiming she’s trying to get Heather Webber released, which she’s not. She wants to find out who leaked this to the press.
Laura calls the man in the records room for a meeting and asks Jordan to go question him about confidentiality. She also says Jordan warned her this would happen, and she can say, “I told you so.” Jordan suggests she get ahead of this and put out a statement that she is not advocating for freeing Heather. Laura can’t because she doesn’t want to make a statement that she might go back on.
Curtis interrupts and says he needs to talk to Laura. Jordan leaves them, and Laura assumes she knows why he’s here. He says Portia has been worried that she’s trying to get Heather’s conviction overturned, and now he read an article in the paper that says just that. Laura says she’s not looking to get Heather freed, but she is exploring if there are legal ramifications for her case given her diagnosis. She says she is not a lawyer, and she can’t predict how a judge will decide, but it is her feeling that Heather deserves to have her case reopened in light of her diagnosis. He says, “So you want her freed?” Laura insists she doesn’t, that all she wants to know is if there is a right to have her case re-examined, and all she’s done so far is ask for records.

Curtis tells her to imagine if it was her child who watched their friends and mentors being attacked and killed. Imagine if your child were the real target of said killer. Would she want that person freed to kill again? He asks what about the people she killed, what about Ava and Diane who were survivors, and don’t they deserve justice too? Laura says Heather doesn’t deny what she did, but her diagnosis needs to be put in the record as it could have been a contributing factor. Curtis asks what happens if this alters her sentence. Laura says that’s for the courts to decide. Laura says this is the fair thing to do. Curtis argues life isn’t fair, and it wasn’t fair to those who were killed. Curtis tells her she’s wrong on this one, and he and Portia will fight her with all they have. He walks out.
On the next General Hospital: Valentin meets with someone and says, “This better be important.” Kristina asks Blaze, “How does someone say something by accident?” Natalia tells Ava that she told Sonny that she’s of the same mind as him. In the PCPD interrogation room, Diane says, “There is no guarantee the police are going to believe you.” In the same room, Anna tells someone, “I think you know exactly who you are a threat for.” Carly asks Sonny, “What the hell does that mean? What did you do?” Jason continues to exchange fire with the hitmen.
