General Hospital’s Carolyn Hennesy (Diane) surely has her hands full these days. Not just with playing Diane in Port Charles but she’s the new mama to a cute little furbaby, one she picked up from the Animal Saints Rescue Society on a recent trip to Massachusetts. And we all know that having a puppy is like having a baby, as they need our attention when it comes to feeding, potty training and of course, cuddles, cuddles and more cuddles.

“Picked up a little something in the Berkshires,” Hennesy announced then went on to explain that her “new addition went from being named Ernest to Bela Lugosi.” Why, you may ask? Well, apparently it was due to him biting her twice during their very first day together. However, since then, the ABC soap actress updated that he’s “mellowed… I hope. Getting him into the carrier at 4:00 am will be fun.”

And if putting him in the transporter became difficult, Hennesy joked, “I suspect there will be some ground beef hiding a trazodone tablet in the process.” In all seriousness, she continued, “He’s a gem of a boy,” then thanked Ivey Abitz for “introducing me to the newest family member.” And thinking of her other pets, she added, “I firmly believe that Sophie Tucker, Spanky Gene and most especially Arbuckle, have sent him to me from afar, proving they are still watching and loving.”

We hope Hennesy and her sweet pup make many new memories together — and we look forward to seeing more posts of them in the future.
