Fans think they solved the murder mystery on The Young and the Restless. They believe that Carter is setting up this long con revenge plot against his employer. He could be bitter towards Cane for snatching up everybody’s company, including his own.

The Y&R spoilers for July 28 to August 1 suggest that Carter (Vincent Stalba) is up to no good. Fans are already onto him. Over on the Y&R subreddit, one poster claims to have cracked the case.
“What if Carter is a descendant of this DeLeon family? What if he’s made about his family’s home being bought out by Cane, and the vineyard being knocked down for a stupid maze?”
Carter could be out to get Cane (Billy Flynn). He wants his family’s property back. Cane’s estate is associated with a winery called Chante DeLeon. While being held hostage, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) found pictures of a family that owned the vineyard. They wondered if the family’s chateau was the one that Cane purchased.
Carter could be part of the DeLeon family. He is now holding a grudge against his boss, who is playing Pac-Man with everyone’s businesses and properties. Fans took to the Reddit thread to share their thoughts. “I thought that too. Because they wouldn’t go through the trouble of mentioning the DeLeon family if it meant nothing,” one user noted.
Great Minds Think Alike
In fact, many Y&R fans across social media have come up with this theory. Carter was the one who murdered Damian (Jermaine Rivers) and erased the surveillance footage, which is why no one has proof of who murdered him. There could also be secret tunnels underneath the maze or chateau that allow Cane to escape and go unnoticed.
“You know what? They didn’t bring up the family for nothing,” one Redditor wrote. “Makes sense. My dad said something similar tonight at dinner,” another fan noted. “Probably the best theory I’ve ever heard,” a third user agreed.
