Bombshell News!! Meri Brown makes a shocking revelation about Kody Brown that is “somewhat disgusting.”

Sister Wives‘ Meri Brown is not a big fan of ex-husband Kody Brown’s bedroom talk. The reality star shares the Kody revelation she found “kind of disgusting” on the TLC series’ Dec. 29 episode.

Sister Wives star Meri Brown would rather her ex Kody Brown not talk about sex, baby.

While discussing his and Meri’s decision to get a legal divorce in 2014 so that he could officially marry fourth wife Robyn Brown and adopt her three older children Dayton Brown, 24, Aurora Brown, 22, and Breanna Brown, 19, as his own, the 55-year-old revealed they actually, uh, consummated their separation.

Noting that he viewed the process as “just shuffling legal paperwork,” the dad of 18 revealed on the TLC series’ Dec. 29 episode, “Meri and I, after that divorce, left Robyn and went to dinner together. I gave her a special ring and we probably went home and made love.”

But his first wife didn’t exactly love that revelation.

“I think it’s kind of disgusting that he would bring up a potentially intimate moment with somebody that he’s divorced from,” she shared in her own confessional noting he was unlikely to kiss and tell when it comes to sole remaining wife Robyn. “I can guaran-damn-tee you that he would never talk about those moments in this setting with his wife.”

Besides, she stressed, “Kody and I were not in the kind of relationship at that time that we would be doing those kinds of things anyway.”

She would argue that by the time they signed on the dotted line, they had entered the “for worse” stage of their decades-long marriage.

“When Kody and I got the legal divorce, it was something that we had talked about together for years, but at the time that it actually happened, I was the one who made that move and went to go talk to the lawyer first because I was just in a place of let’s just do it, let’s just rip the Band-Aid off, let’s just get it done,” the mom to 29-year-old Leon Brown explained. “I kept thinking, if we can wait until our relationship is stronger, then I’ll feel better about doing it and I’ll feel more confident and I’ll feel more secure in our relationship. But that was never going to happen, obviously.”

Instead, she revealed, “It was within six months that he quit coming around.”

Looking back at the experience, she admitted, “I do question if at that time he already kind of had this plan in mind. ‘If I can just do this, it’ll be easy transition.’”

Naturally Kody had a different recollection of that period.

He said the process of ending their marriage in the eyes of the law had such “an emotional impact on her,” that shortly after Meri got tangled up in an online relationship with a woman who turned out to be a catfish posing as an eligible man.

But Meri noted there was a reason she was so easily lured away.

“By the time the catfishing situation happened,” she insisted, “mine and Kody’s relationship was really almost nonexistent.”

There was a brief uptick in their romance in the weeks after, she acknowledged. “I remember after the legal divorce thinking, ‘Oh, he’s nice, okay,’” she shared. “He was really kind and he was present in our relationship for, you know, a month or so. And then you just can’t keep up, like, a facade for too long. The catfishing situation didn’t even begin until maybe eight months after the legal divorce.”

And while she just kept swimming for years in the hopes that her marriage might improve, she now wonders if Kody wasn’t fooling her.

Referencing Kody’s eagerness to get out of their marriage, she reflected, “I think the escape plan was that legal divorce. Let’s be real, that was his escape plan.”

Of course, that’s just one hard truth she and her costars have dropped this season. Keep reading to mop up all the tea that’s been spilled.

Meri Says Kody Gave Her Hope for Their Marriage

Kody Brown insisted he was ready to divide himself from first wife Meri Brown shortly after their 1990 vows. But “he led me to believe that he would work on things by saying, ‘Oh Meri, when we move to Flagstaff, this will be a good time to have a new beginning for us,’” Meri shared in the Sept. 15 premiere, referencing their 2018 move. “Like he led me to believe those things. This is what he’s done for many, many years.”

Her main gripe, she shared, is “his lack of communication and how he really felt and what he really wanted or what he really didn’t want and the story that he’s been telling for all these years.”

And while Kody acknowledged that there may have been “mixed messages,” it was only because as he started to work on things, “I’m like, ‘Why would I do this?’” he explained. “I would not court and date her now.”

Either way, Meri’s friends were thrilled when she finally pulled the plug in early 2023.

“They’re like, ‘OK, we’re here for you, we’re supporting you. And it’s about damn time,’” she confessed. Blinders off, she now feels that he had been trying to get her to walk away for years by insisting he didn’t love her, “Because if he can push me out and I leave, he’s not the bad guy because he didn’t walk away.”
