Charlie Besso Joins General Hospital as Tobias: What Fans Can Expect
A New Face in Port Charles
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a fresh face is making its way to the beloved soap opera. Soap newcomer Charlie Besso is set to debut in the role of Tobias on Tuesday, February 18. Fans of the show might recognize the name Tobias from a past episode on December 20, 2023. It was then that Aiden Spencer, played by Colin Cassidy, first opened up to his mother, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), about his crush, Tobias. Liz, as always, was supportive and happy for her son.
Now, as GH continues its storyline, viewers will finally get to see Tobias on screen for the first time. But that’s not all—Valentine’s Day may have passed in the real world, but Port Charles will still be celebrating the romantic holiday during Tuesday’s episode. As part of the festivities, Aiden will introduce Tobias to his parents, Elizabeth and Lucky Spencer.
Temporary Recast for Lucky Spencer
In another surprise twist, a former Days of Our Lives actor will be stepping in temporarily as Lucky Spencer. Lucky, who is usually played by Jonathan Jackson, will be portrayed by a recast for just a few episodes. However, GH fans don’t need to worry—Jackson has already returned to filming, and he will be back on screen by the end of February.
The delay in the show’s Valentine’s Day episodes is due to recent preemptions. ABC’s coverage of former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral on Tuesday, January 7, pushed back several episodes. As a result, some events in Port Charles are airing later than originally scheduled.
Who Is Charlie Besso?
Although Charlie Besso is new to the world of daytime drama, he has already made a name for himself in the acting industry. He made his debut in the original Peacock series The Calling in 2022, portraying Vincent Ki in the first four episodes. More recently, he appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s hit drama Fallout, which is based on the popular video game series. Besso also just finished filming Season 2 of Netflix’s The Night Agent.
At 22 years old, Besso is more than just an actor—he’s also a talented singer. He has a growing fanbase on Spotify, with thousands of listeners streaming his music each month.
