Gio may have had a low-key start, but summer’s here to heat things for General Hospital newcomer Giovanni Mazza! Initially, the star became famous for playing his violin at NBA games. Then, he switched gears to pursue a career in acting and moved to Los Angeles to start auditioning. He had previously done gigs in Days of Our Lives and GH before. However, it wasn’t until this year that the soap invited him to move to Port Charles! So, what does GH have in store for Mazza? Find out!

General Hospital: Giovanni Mazza Teases Juicy Plot Points for Gio and Trina!

General Hospital has big shoes to fill with Nicholas Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) leaving. It’s no secret that viewers of the ABC soap loved “Sprina,” a couple played by Chavez and Tabyana Ali (Trina). Rumor has it that Mazza’s character will fancy Trina. Now, let’s learn how the newcomer landed this exciting role on the American soap! Gio revealed, “I put myself on tape, submitted it, and then I literally moved on.”

Giovanni was on hold for an Amazon pilot then. Mazza thought that was probably the one he would get.’ But then he got a call that the soap producers wanted to see him. “It felt like the Twilight Zone. It didn’t feel real.” And guess what? Gio had another reason to be happy besides signing a long-term contract with the soap. The showrunners wanted to incorporate his violin playing into his character!

Subsequently, the General Hospital newcomer must juggle his music practice with his new summer job at the Metro Court Pool. Also, when news of Mazza’s casting first hit the headlines, some viewers thought he might be a new love interest for Josslyn. However, with Joss and Dex working things out, Trinna might cross paths with him! Mazza believes that Trina is interested in who Gio is and wants to know more about him.

Well, the same goes for Gio as well. Additionally, the General Hospital star teased, “I feel like there’s so much that could happen and blossom out of our relationship.” Gio is excited to see where the story goes. As a fan, Mazza also wants to know what will happen next! On the June 6th episode, viewers got a sneak peek into General Hospital’s summer storylines. In the story, Joss pushes Gio into the pool fully clothed after it’s disclosed that he’s one of the new pool attendants.

As Gio gets out of the pool, he sees Trina and asks for an introduction. Then, Joss introduces him to Trina, and he shares his plans to attend PCU in the fall. Furthermore, knowing Gio is a violinist, Trina mentions she works at an art gallery and is planning an event. The woman told Gio she could use some of his music that wouldn’t distract from conversations. Soon, Gio couldn’t resist asking for her number. Trina SMILES.
