Lipton is set to star in a new Amazon series, The Runarounds, about his band of the same name, our sister site The Hollywood Reporter has revealed. In 2021, the group was picked from a host of hopefuls by Outer Banks co-creator Jonas Pate to perform during Season 3 of his hit teen drama on Netflix.
The new show, which is technically not a spinoff, follows the pop-rockers as they try to make it big after high school. In addition to Lipton, its stars include, obviously, his bandmates, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock and Jesse Golliher. Check ’em out below, covering The Beatles’ “Twist and Shout.”
Since the pilot for The Runarounds was filmed in 2022, the guys have recorded an EP and gone out on tour. Looks like they put on a helluva show, too. Have a look at the video below.
Will General Hospital have to recast Cameron if the new headwriters decide to bring the character back full-time? TBD. For the time being, Lipton will be tied up filming the eight episodes that comprise Season 1 of his series in Wilmington, NC (where everything from One Tree Hill to The Summer I Turned Pretty taped).
When General Hospital brought home Cameron for buddy Spencer’s funeral, we had hoped that William Lipton would be staying. Heaven knows a grief-stricken Trina had never needed her friend more. But instead, he was here today, gone tomorrow. What gives?
