In an exclusive podcast episode of The Sarah Fraser Show, host Sarah Fraser revealed a shocking and previously undisclosed domestic incident involving 90 Day Fiancé stars Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi.
According to a Pasadena Police report obtained by Fraser, the incident occurred on January 18, 2024, at approximately 2:43 a.m. in a Courtyard Marriott in Pasadena, California. Officers responded to reports of a loud argument coming from the couple’s hotel room. When police arrived, they found Michael in the hotel lobby with blood on his clothing. He told officers that Angela had tased him on his upper right arm with a stun gun that she allegedly carries in her purse for protection. Michael said Angela became enraged during an argument, activated the stun gun, and used it on him twice. He claimed he pushed her arm away in self-defense to stop the attack, which reportedly caused Angela to bleed due to her skin condition, something viewers of the show may recall from previous seasons.
Angela, however, denied using the stun gun on Michael. According to her version of events, which was also included in the police report but redacted in parts, the device had been in Michael’s jacket pocket when they went out for dinner. Despite conflicting statements, police documented the scene thoroughly, took photographs of Michael’s clothing and Angela’s injuries, and submitted the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. Although no arrest was made at the scene, detectives attempted to locate Angela later that day to charge her with domestic violence. However, both Angela and Michael had already left California — Angela to Palm Springs and Michael back to Georgia. Michael declined to press charges, and police were unable to reach either party for further questioning. Ultimately, the district attorney declined to prosecute, citing conflicting accounts, lack of witnesses, and insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The incident, which came to light nearly a year later through Sarah Fraser’s reporting, helps explain why Michael fled Angela’s Georgia home just weeks later — a highly publicized moment in early 2024. Despite the incident and Michael’s departure, the couple remains legally married, though their divorce is reportedly ongoing and contentious. Michael is now living in Texas and appears to be doing better, while Angela remains active on social media. According to Fraser, Michael’s reluctance to press charges may have been due to fear or a desire to quietly exit the relationship, though she acknowledged the complexity of domestic violence situations. This report paints a clearer picture of the toxic nature of their relationship and the legal complications that followed. Fraser emphasized that domestic violence is never a laughing matter and credited the Pasadena Police Department and the official report she obtained as the source of her information.
